A morning ringinmg session at Aylmer Avenue produced 6 new birds: 4 Goldfinch and 2 Greenfinch; and 7 retraps: 2 Dunnock, 3 Blue Tit, a Robin and a Great Tit.

A Long-tailed Duck came from the north and alighted on the sea out from Mill Hill in the morning. Heading south over the sea were 2 Shelduck, an Eider, 11 Red-throated Diver, a Black-throated Diver, a Diver Sp, 5 Great Crested Grebe and an Auk Sp; and in from the sea came a Snipe. On Jackson's Marsh were 3 Pintail, 21 Tufted Duck, 4 Goosander, a Water Rail and a Kingfisher; and on Croftmarsh 394 Wigeon, 49 Curlew, 47 Redshank, 26 Stock Dove and 30 Starling. A Woodlark was heard calling at dawn over the fields to the west of the River Steeping and a Lapland Bunting was out from Wash Viewpoint shortly afterwards.
