July 20th. Birds around included 30 Swallow. On Tennyson's Sands were 76 Avocet, 75 Black-tailed Godwit and 5 Spoonbill; and on Jackson's Marsh an Avocet, a Black-tailed Godwit and a Redshank.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes produced 9 new birds: a Sedge Warbler, a Linnet, a Goldfinch, a Whitethroat, 2 Swallow and 3 Reed Bunting; and 3 retraps: a Whitethroat, a Dunnock and a Great Tit.

July 19th. Around were a Short-eared Owl, 45 Swallow and 800 Starling. On Jackson's Marsh were 10 Spoonbill; and on Tennyson's Sands 51 Avocet, 100 Black-tailed Godwit and 3 Spoonbill. Heading south were 17 Swallow and 2 Sand Martin.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes yielded 14 new birds: a Chiffchaff, a Wren, 2 Whitethroat, a Blackcap, 6 Swallow, a Sand Martin and 2 Dunnock; and 4 retraps: 2 Whitethroat, a Blue Tit and a Lesser Whitethroat.

July 18th. Birds around included 2500+ Starling and 35 Swallow. On Jackson's Marsh were 8 Avocet; and on Tennyson's Sands 62 Avocet, 40 Black-tailed Godwit and 7 Spoonbill. Flying south were 13 Swallow.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes provided 11 new birds: 2 Wren, a Chiffchaff, a Sedge Warbler, 4 Whitethroat, a Blackcap, a Swallow and a Dunnock; and a retrap Sedge Warbler.

July 17th. Around were a Short-eared Owl, 24 Swallow and 2000+ Starling. On Jackson's Marsh were 2 Spoonbill; on Croftmarsh 4 Avocet; and on Tennyson's Sands 64 Avocet and 8 Spoonbill. Going south were a Spoonbill (early) and 4 Swallow.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes produced 12 new birds: 2 Wren, a Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and a Reed Bunting; and 6 retraps: a Robin, 2 Great Tit, a Dunnock and 2 Whitethroat.

July 16th. Birds around included a Spotted Redshank and 3 Common Tern. On Croftmarsh were 7 Redshank; and on Tennyson's Sands 61 Avocet, 24 Black-tailed Godwit, 12 Redshank, 2 Greenshank and 7 Spoonbill.

 The eighth session of CES was done this morning, The 26 new birds were 2 Wren, 2 Chiffchaff, 16 Whitethroat, a Great Tit, a Reed Warbler, a Blue Tit and 3 Dunnock. The 11 retraps were 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Wren, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Whitethroat and a Blue Tit.

July 15th. On Jackson's Marsh were 4 Spoonbill; on Croftmarsh 26 Redshank; and on Tennyson's Sands 57 Avocet, 31 Black-tailed Godwit, 18 Redshank, 3 Greenshank and 7 Spoonbill. Heading north were 6 Swallow.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes resulted in 6 new birds: 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Sedge Warbler, a Whitethroat and a Blackbird; and 3 retraps: a Blackcap, a Dunnock and a Robin.

July 14th. Around were 3 Common Tern, an Arctic Tern and 3000+ Starling. On Tennyson's Sands were 64 Avocet, 56 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Greenshank, 7 Redshank and 3 Spoonbill; and on Jackson's Marsh an Avocet. Heading north were 2 Swift; and south a Spoonbill. Flying south was a Grey Wagtail.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes provided 5 new birds: 2 Wren, a Sedge Warbler and 2 Whitethroat; and 10 retraps: 2 Wren, 6 Whitethroat, a Great Tit and a Dunnock.

July 13th. Soggy, foggy start.

 Birds around included 5 Redshank, a Little Gull, 700 Sandwich Tern and a Roseate Tern. On Jackson's Marsh were 2 Avocet and a Spoonbill; on Croftmarsh an Avocet; on Fenland Lagoon 2 Greenshank; and on Tennyson's Sands 65 Avocet, 48 Black-tailed Godwit, 30 Redshank, a Greenshank and 16 Spoonbill.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes produced 7 new birds: a Wren, a Chiffchaff, 2 Linnet, 2 Whitethroat and a Sedge Warbler; and 5 retraps: 2 Great Tit, a Robin and 2 Whitethroat.

July 12th. Intermittent drizzle and rain.

 Around were a Greenshank, 100 Sandwich Tern, a Peregrine, a Cuckoo, 1000 Starling. On Jackson's Marsh were 14 Avocet and 5 Spoonbill; on Croftmarsh 2 Avocet and 6 Black-tailed Godwit; on Fenland Lagoon 3 Greenshank and 2 Redshank; and on Tennyson's Sands 79 Avocet, 36 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Common Sandpiper, 4 Redshank, a Dunlin, a Mediterranean Gull, 2 Common Tern, a Great White Egret and 5 Spoonbill. Going north were 5 Swallow.

 A morning ringing session in East Dunes yielded 29 new birds: a Chiffchaff, 5 Wren, 11 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler, a Robin, a Blackcap, 2 Great Tit, a Meadow Pipit, a Song Thrush and 4 Starling; and 4 retraps: a Sedge Warbler, a Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff and a Blue Tit.
